Generally, people consider pregnancy a “woman’s issue.” However, the Colorado Springs Pregnancy Center recognizes that men need education and support when making an important life choice regarding pregnancy. We offer services tailored specifically for men whose partners face an unplanned pregnancy.
Your partner is looking for your support now more than ever. Your silence is not supporting her – assure her you will stand beside her. Research your options and pregnancy information together. Your voice is vital.
Our Men’s Services Include:
- When you come in with your partner for a pregnancy test, we have men on staff who are willing to meet with you and talk through what you are facing. It is common to feel afraid, frustrated, discouraged, and even angry. We take the time to discuss your options and answer questions you may have.
- We offer fatherhood education through our parenting program if you choose to parent. A staff member can make referrals to our parenting program from the time you realize you are expecting a child until your child is two years of age. Sign up for parenting classes and lessons just for dads and classes with your partner. You can earn a free crib, a car seat, baby clothing, and other baby necessities through your participation.
- STDs can cause serious damage to your body and your partner without your knowledge. You do not have to have symptoms to be contagious; you can spread the disease at any time. The Colorado Springs Pregnancy Center offers free testing for Chlamydia and Gonorrhea and HIV screening. We provide free treatment for Chlamydia. - For men who may be struggling with a decision made regarding abortion(s), Bridges of Hope offers one-on-one support with a male facilitator. This pain can often be as real for a man as a woman when dealing with a past abortion. If you need to talk to someone, contact us today.
